I've posted some pics of more lil platypi I made. The ten cent piece is there so a friend can estimate their size.
It's the funniest thing but they're each so different and I don't even try to make them different but every time I make a little creature I'm always amazed at how they choose their own little personalities just by the tiniest tweek.

Made this flowered inro today...in honour of the girls holding a "cane for January" segment over at the Beading Forum. It's roses this month...and I just don't have time to make a new one and I needed flowers for an inro I was making...so I used some of my precious "only tiny bit left" purple rose cane that is about 5 or 6 years old...still workable today!
That plaquing is intentional by the way:)...wanted a look of stone, not pvc..

Mica shift inro...

Sold a pile of these at the last market...so had to make a pile more. They'll always be a fave...

Big thanks to Barb Fajaro for the inspiration on this one! Check out her site at http://www.rubarbdesertdesigns.com/

'nother one...

It's been a bit of a bracelet phase...here are some made using very basic canes...could have sold these two a dozen times over.
Note to self...make more. They were fun!

Here are some more...

Having fun with Christi Friesen inspired stchufff...

Here's another...

Many wonderful things have transpired over the last 9 months. Amanda Katz is a whiz with wire and she's the gem who encouraged me to try my hand at making faux murano glass beads. Pictured here is her wirework and my beads. Will be writing a tutorial one day of how these are made just as soon as I get the other hundred things on the list done!:)

Ok, so I've been busy! The last nine months I've moved state, from Denmark WA to Byron Bay, NSW, Australia.Settling in and setting up business in a new place has taken up all of my time...Anyhow, here I am cos my ftp program won't let let me upload pics and since I have this blog dormant but in place, it's the perfect solution to showing pics...I promised Chris I'd send a pic of the licorice allsorts beads and other fun stuff we're making with Makins clay at school vacation care and bead shop classes I teach.
And a gorgeous pic of this little cutie with her starfish...
